Japangarden were
commissioned by Sue Garwood to assist with the design and construction of the illuminated faux shoji window, carefully lit from behind and also a bespoke curved step to allow easy access into the traditional Onsen bath

Our new Office and Workshop
Its busy times for Japangarden as we have moved to new premises, ideal for the manufacture of screens and to display examples of our beautiful granite garden items, together with interior screens.
The new workshop is busy making shoji screens, windows and room panels and is a light and airy place to work.

Masterclasses led by a trio of potters from Japan
weekend masterclasses led by a trio of potters from Japan
Peter Seabridge, Masahiro Kumagae and Reiko Nagata will share their extensive knowledge of thrown, handbuilt and decorating techniques, culminating in a wood firing of the work during the second weekend. Workshops can be booked individually, so if you can’t make both weekends, don’t worry your pots will be fired for you and participants’ pots can be included in the firing by arrangement.
